I had to smile reading the letter from Mike Stehney (“Steelers fan rooting for the Browns,” Jan. 5, TribLive). I was in Cleveland the day after Art Modell and the whole Browns team packed up in the middle of the night and left for Baltimore. Having been born and raised in the ’Burgh, I never had a kind thought for Cleveland — till that day.

The entire city was devastated. It was all anybody could talk about, even on the classical music radio station. And the thought occurred to me — what if this had been Pittsburgh? How would we feel? I have been a closet Cleveland fan ever since and was very happy to see them make the playoffs, finally.
