I read with interest the front-page article “Potholes prove costly for Pa. drivers” (March 18, TribLIVE). It clearly explains PennDOT’s understanding of the cause of those potholes.
I wonder if PennDOT has given any consideration to repairing them instead of patchingend ital them. Patching is a temporary fix that annually costs millions of dollars. Would a repair project save money and inconvenience in the long run?
