I was happy to see that the Republican Westmoreland County commissioners removed the ballot drop box in front of the courthouse to save us money (“Republican commissioners remove ballot drop box from Westmoreland courthouse,” Sept. 28, TribLIVE). Wonderful. Oh, by the way, are these the same Republican commissioners who returned covid relief dollars back to the U.S. because they couldn’t find the time to figure out how they should have been distributed (“Westmoreland set to return portion of unspent rental assistance funds as program continues,” Oct. 4, TribLIVE)?
