The former president has turned the GOP into a party of liars and deniers who are trying to rewrite history. I watched the siege of the Capitol on Jan. 6. No way did it appear to be a “normal tourist visit” of the Capitol. Normal tourists don’t usually arrive armed with bear spray, poles, zip ties, etc. Rep. Liz Cheney was one of the few who called it for what it was and who it was who incited it. For doing so, she was stripped of her leadership.
The majority of the GOP appears to place their loyalty in a man who doesn’t deserve it. It would be so wonderful if Congress could get together and work for the good of all the people. Sen. Mitch McConnell said it himself. His focus is 100% on thwarting anything the Biden administration wants to accomplish.
Let’s do what is best for the country — not what’s best for the Democrats or Republicans.
