Earlier this month, 126 House Republicans signed on to a lawsuit that would invalidate the votes of millions of Americans, including my own and many of yours. I am floored by their malice and lack of patriotism.

How dare they say my vote and the votes of my family, friends, neighbors and fellow Pennsylvanians are fraudulent and illegitimate? How dare they try to negate votes cast by mail in accordance with a law passed by a Republican- controlled Legislature with bipartisan support? How dare they subvert our most sacred democratic institutions when they have no facts to support their case?

In my opinion, Donald Trump lost because he is a deeply unpopular, incompetent, dishonest and divisive president, not because of malfeasance. If the election were rigged, would Republicans have won hundreds of state and national legislative seats on the same ballots they are now declaring fraudulent?

House Republicans, shame on you. Grow up, accept this loss and let our country move on. We have real and significant problems to solve, and your craven, performative loyalty to a failed president is standing in our way.
