Hours after the violence started at the Capitol Jan. 6, Rep. Guy Reschenthaler tweeted that “The violence happening at the Capitol is unacceptable. Today’s reckless events do not advance conservative values.”

He says this after months of fanning the flames of voter fraud conspiracy theories. He pretends to be a champion of “conservative values” but himself does not seem to even honor the simple value of truth.

In my opinion, he knows there was never any fraud and knew it all along. But him saying otherwise would go against Trump and the voters that he counts on.

I had wished he would grow a conscience and join many other notable Republicans in denouncing the continued false narrative. But in the end, I am not surprised that he has not because he does not reflect the “conservative values” that he pretends to advance.
