Letter to the editor: Residents should be Latrobe's priority
Regarding the letter “Tax hike and new schools in Latrobe” (Sept. 17, TribLIVE): Yes, stop the building and revitalization in the Latrobe area for a while. Things actually look pretty good. Lengthening the stop time at red lights helps us reflect on how prematurely it’s been authorized.
The recent rampant usage of money pouring into our area is starting to look like “somebody’s baby.”
The senior citizens’ center is still housed in an old school building, shaming the likes of those in other “swanky” cities like ours. We like Latrobe/Unity, but the humane needs of many of its residents, not tourists, are the priority, this writer states.
