Letter to the editor: Say no to solar farms in Buffalo Township
SolEnergy is attempting to install two solar farms in beautiful Buffalo Township. It’s pretty clear from the last two public meetings that residents do not want solar farms infringing on the beauty and serenity we have here.
It’s not all about the property values going down, which they will. We have the Butler-Freeport Community Trail, which is a wonderful way to see the outdoors, and the Buffalo Creek Nature Park. What a wonderful place to live. Buffalo Township is known for its rural setting and quiet country roads. It is growing here; developments are coming in, but the township will still have its charm.
The supervisors are going to vote, and if they vote on what the residents want, then these solar farms won’t be built. The residents will not get anything out of this, not even a lower electric bill. Just Google what a solar farm looks like and tell me if you want it in your backyard.
Say no to solar farms in Buffalo Township.
