Spin, an enterprise that makes motorized scooters available for rent to those who do not have cars or choose not to use them, is delighted with the early returns in its Pittsburgh program (“Taking a spin in Pittsburgh on an e-scooter,” Aug. 29, TribLIVE). One of Spin’s chief goals is to reduce the carbon footprint. Uh-huh. To that end, they have a fleet of six vans that go out every night to collect the scooters that are abandoned in places they should not be or simply to “rebalance” the supply of scooters at each location.

So … reducing the carbon footprint involves six vans running around all night hunting down scooters, driving them around to “rebalance” the supply at each location and … recharging all the scooters … with natural gas or coal energy, solar being in short supply at night.

I have long wondered where the leaders of the Occupy Morons have gotten to. Don’t know for sure, but there are clues if one but looks around.
