Jesus literally warns us (Matthew 25:31-46) that if we ignore the needs of the poor, deny aid to the suffering and dehumanize the strangers among us, we are going straight to Hell.

Bon voyage to the politicians who voted in favor of the “Big Beautiful Bill” benefiting the rich at the expense of the poor. Bon voyage to the braintrust that conceived of and implemented “Alligator Alcatraz” to dehumanize and scapegoat fellow human beings searching for safety and a better way of life.

Bon voyage to the political and religious hawks who have orchestrated and ignored the atrocious genocide in Gaza. Bon voyage to the pseudo-scientists continuing to threaten public health standards and cut research for terminal illnesses.

Bon voyage to the cowardly sycophants of Church and State who zealously enable the current administration of hatred, violence and greed in Washington, D.C., in direct contrast to Matthew 25:31-46.
