Letter to the editor: Shame on Comcast
Well, Comcast has done it again. As of Oct. 10, the Turner Classic Movies network is no longer available to Preferred Digital customers. In order to receive TCM, one must upgrade (at a cost of $9.99 per month) to its “Sports and Entertainment” package. Comcast never has a problem increasing my cost when it decides to add a channel, but has not decreased my cost due to this change. My cost for Digital Preferred Triple Play is $231.78. Yes, I still have a landline, and even if I didn’t, the Triple Play is still the least costly route for me. As a longtime customer, I don’t think I should have to switch to another provider. Comcast truly treats its so-called “valued” customers unfairly and continues to take advantage of us.
I can survive without the channel, but what about the elderly people on a fixed income who enjoy watching old movies? I doubt they will be able to afford an upgrade. It probably was the best entertainment channel Comcast had to offer.
Shame on Comcast. Now that is something to protest!
