Letter to the editor: Shame on those who condone Trump's evil

Tribune-Review

Letter-writer Archie Atkinson (“Still blaming Trump?” Feb. 3, TribLIVE) claims hatred and shame on all Democrats. To say all Democratic voters are full of hate is a prejudiced statement. Judging people you know nothing about is no different then judging someone by their nationality or religion.

Atkinson says he can’t wait to vote again for Donald Trump, the man who accelerated racism and hatred in our country and sadly divided our nation, family and friends. He has damaged the Republican Party and polluted the minds of many gullible Americans.

Trump incited the riot at the Capitol, and is calling for more protests across the country and encouraging more unrest. I believe Trump is evil and is the biggest threat to our country. There is no doubt in my mind that this country would be better off today had Hillary Clinton won in 2016.

Atkinson says trump is a strong man. Please! He encourages others to do his dirty work, just as he did the mob at the Capitol and his own vice president. A strong man does not promote evil and unrest. A strong man doesn’t pout like a wimp when he loses an election. Al Gore and Hillary Clinton both had reasons to pout, but they both acted with honor and dignity, neither of which Trump has.

Although I have no ill will toward Atkinson, as he obviously does me and all Democrats, I believe he is ignorant of truth and reality. Shame lies with anyone who condones the evil actions of Trump and is willing to vote for him again.
