Letter to the editor: Sheridan, Kurimsky best picks for Franklin Regional School Board
Everyone in the Franklin Regional School District should want a qualified school board to make decisions about how our tax dollars are being spent. A well-performing school is important to real estate values.
Amy Sheridan and Kevin Kurimsky are candidates I will be voting for. Both work in changing environments and understand the importance of being flexible. Artificial intelligence and social media are quickly changing how we work and live.
Sheridan has hundreds of FRSD volunteer hours and three children, and knows what our children need for the future. She has attended 50-plus school board meetings in the last three years. I attended one of the meetings she attended, where politics was being dragged into the meeting instead of focusing on what the children need. Sheridan will keep the focus on preparing our children for the future.
Kurimsky has been a steady leader as school board president. He is open to different viewpoints, and he knows how to find solutions. He works to ensure our students are career ready and prepared for the changing future. He is a good steward of our school tax revenue.
Please take the time to look up both Kurimsky’s and Sheridan’s biographies and vote.
