Sheriff Albert’s faith & patriotism refreshing

I had the honor of attending the swearing-in ceremony of Westmoreland County Sheriff James Albert.

It started with the singing of the national anthem, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance by all 175-plus people in attendance. We finished by bowing our heads in prayer and thanking the Lord for all of the blessings he has bestowed upon us.

For me, this was something we need to see more of in our society. Pride in our country and faith are things that have been lacking lately.

It was refreshing to see a sheriff who is not afraid of offending someone by publicly showing his love for his country and his guidance by faith.

We look forward to seeing the great things he will do as sheriff.
