Donald Trump and Dr. Mehmet Oz have a handicap: They are both celebrities. The liberal left can usually find something in their past and spin it. But John Fetterman remains a man of mystery. The press doesn’t seem interested in digging into his background.

I didn’t follow the scandals about Trump in the sleazy supermarket papers. I never watched Oz on his talk show. I never heard of Fetterman before he became Pennsylvania lieutenant governor.

Trump, with all his faults, was a great president who put the average American first. Oz has shown himself to be a productive, good citizen. Heart surgeons are intelligent people.

What of Fetterman? Well, he was mayor of Braddock from 2006-18. That is a real tourist stop, a poor, crime-ridden community. For many years, he was dependent on his parents for support. His sister sold him the loft his family lived in for $1. The press doesn’t seem eager to tell us these things.

The press eagerly reveals Trump’s and Oz’s shortcomings. They should investigate Fetterman’s past. Then let the voters decide.
