Letter to the editor: Silent majority must speak up

Tribune-Review

As we enter a new political era, I have a few thoughts as to what brought it about and what the results of it may be.

Early last summer we began to see our cities in flames and violence across our country. Our history was being erased as everyone from Columbus to Lincoln was being vilified as being racists. We saw their statues being pulled down and their monuments defaced. When it became apparent that these actions were hurting the Democratic Party in the polls, they seemed to come to an abrupt end. Fear is an effective tactic used by the radical left and those who wish to re-engineer our society.

Climate change and racism are two shiny objects used to avert our attention from what is actually gong on. Another productive tactic.

Before a new system can be installed, the one in place must be dismantled. Could it be that this can be accomplished by destroying our economy? That seems to be well underway by the signing of a long list of executive orders that are very damaging to the well-being of America.

In addition to all of that, if Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico are granted statehood, the power of the left will surely be cemented in place because of the increase in Democratic representation.

Before our schools and institutions are renamed after Mao, Marx and Lenin, I pray that the silent majority will be silent no more.
