The political left has bastardized the English language to promote its radical ideology. Words and phrases are used in ways that can never be fully comprehended, then repeated ad nauseam by politicians and media types.
Terms like “racial justice,” “social justice,” “diversity,” “equity,” “inclusion” and a host of others spill out of the mouths of leftist acolytes so often that we feel that they mean something particular, when in fact, their meanings are never defined, always shifting.
As an example, the term “social justice” has been in vogue for the past several decades. We have been subjected to its use so often that we believe its definition has been established. But has it? We know that it pertains to actions taken to provide redress to minority groups historically being mistreated or marginalized in some way, but how these actions are applied in the present often seems like the opposite of true justice. In the past several years we have seen numerous examples of criminals escaping actual justice in the name of “social justice” while those not belonging to an aggrieved group pay a heavy price for their “privilege.”
Radical leftists seem to believe that institutional prejudices require justice be selectively carried out to favor certain groups over others. The fact that organizations within the grievance industry make millions of dollars advocating for “oppressed” minorities suggests that the quest for ‘”social justice” and the division it fuels will be with us for quite some time. “Vengeance is mine!” saith the leftists.
