The growth of socialism in our society appears to correlate with the decline of religious values. Socialism advocates the replacement of faith in God with faith in government. Capitalism requires following God’s commandments by encouraging the creation of wealth without lying, stealing, etc. Thereby capitalism creates wealth through innovation and entrepreneurship, whereas socialism suppresses these vital forces of wealth creation.

The growth of socialism has also contributed to the banning of the Ten Commandments posted in schools and government buildings. These pillars of western civilization should be posted everywhere as a constant reminder that our relationships and fair dealings with others must be of paramount importance in the pursuit of wealth creation.
