Regarding the letter “Our hero veterans deserve real buglers” (June 4, TribLive): I’ve been a VFW Post 33 honor guard for about four months and feel the need to stick up for our bugler. He always played the bugle without the aid of any kind until he no longer could because of his age. Any man that’s been a part of the honor guard for almost 21 years and is in his 80s doing what he does gets my respect despite what others think.
