To borrow a phrase coined by a respected deceased newspaper columnist, some things I think I think:
I think we should defund the IRS and instead simplify the tax code. Everyone gets a $48,000 deduction, pays 15% on balance and no other deductions exist. Fair is fair.
I think there should be no tax on businesses. Instead, they should pay a fee of .007 on net sales after a $48,000 deduction. Don’t run your business based on a tax deduction.
I think the U.S. government should not forgive student loans.
I think colleges and universities should refund the student loans the same way you return merchandise to a retailer that doesn’t work.
I think colleges and universities should be investigated for predatory exploiting of students.
I think there should be term limits for elected officials.
I think we are a sovereign nation with a defined territory and that territory should be secured.
I think we need to do a better job of teaching self-responsibility and not expecting the government to be responsible for individuals’ needs.
I think we need a third party that will force the other two to look for allies in compromise.
I think common sense isn’t too common anymore. BUT I think we can still use good sense where common sense is missing. Ask yourself what is right vs what is wrong? What is good vs what is bad? What are the consequences of doing a vs b?
I think I am done thinking for now!
