Regarding Edward A. Svitek’s letter “Trump has done enough damage” (Jan. 19, TribLIVE): I would be ashamed to ever admit that I’m a Democrat now, or ever. Hateful people (Democrats) will continue to blame President Trump forever, even though we currently have an unqualified president and vice president who are bumbling everyday activities badly.
Svitek and I agree on only one thing, that this country is in very bad shape. Again, he blames Trump, ignoring the current status of our borders, inflation, increased deaths from coronavirus, the supply chain problem, increased crime — I could go on forever.
I live in the present; Svitek seems to live with an ignorant definition of the past.
Trump added much value in many ways. He had an overblown ego and was crude at times, but he had the guts to speak his mind and, in my opinion, accomplished more in four years than the last several presidents combined.
Biden is a wimp; Trump is a strong man. I can’t wait to vote for Trump in the next presidential election to get this country back in shape.
