President Trump has divided this country like no other president in history. In my opinion, his inept response to covid-19 has resulted in 228,000 dead Americans and almost 9 million sick. I believe that with four more years of this president, our republic will be in shambles, and this is what four more years will look like:
1. An additional 200,000 dead Americans from covid-19. Trump is still downplaying the pandemic.
2. National debt soaring by trillions more, $7 trillion debt in four years. Trump seems to love debt.
3. A much weaker NATO and a much stronger Russia; Belarus will be part of Russia again, and Trump won’t say a word.
4. Twenty million Americans without affordable health care and sick Americans with preexisting conditions on their own.
5. A climate disaster — much dirtier air and water, more monster hurricanes, rising sea levels, sicker children.
6. Higher taxes for the middle class; tax breaks for the top 1% and large corporations.
7. More family farms filing for bankruptcy because of Trump’s trade wars. Farm bankruptcies are up 147% since Trump took office.
8. Lost jobs and a recession. First president to lose American jobs in his first term. Lost at least 5 million jobs in four years.
9. The U.S. Postal Service dismantled. Veterans and seniors not getting their medications on time.
10. Defunding Social Security and Medicare — eliminating them for seniors. In three years there will be no money left for Social Security.
