It takes a lot to have news affect us these days, as we’re all sadly numb to the garbage that exists sometimes as human beings. But the recent stories of the two men accused of abusing disabled residents at McGuire Memorial (“Feds charge 2 men with hate crimes in Beaver County care-home abuse case,” March 25, TribLIVE) and the pathetic scum parents who sexually abused their children (“Former Carrick couple sentenced for violent physical, sexual abuse of children,” March 26, TribLIVE) really got me down. What was equally sad was two of the four are not in jail.

May the two souls who lost their lives at McGuire Memorial because of the abuse rest in peace. May the two victims of their parents’ sexual abuse find peace in their lives.
