Letter to the editor: Support travel agents
Covid-19 has turned our world upside down. After isolation ends, people will want to start re-exploring their community and world. When this time comes, I implore you to support small businesses. The livelihoods of boutiques, local restaurants and travel agents have been devastated, and we need your support.
Yes, travel agents still exist. We advocate on your behalf. Your time is valuable and should be spent with family. We leverage our relationships with major travel suppliers (cruise lines, hotels, airlines, tour operators) to save you time and money.
We help you navigate complex cancellation and rebooking policies. We are available day and night to answer your questions. We are here to make your vacation as seamless as possible — from researching and booking to planning excursions through your return trip home and after you return. Nothing has changed since covid-19. We have been and always will be there for you.
When isolation ends, you will want to live life to the fullest by checking items off your bucket list. When you plan your next vacation, please book with a travel agent. We are dedicated to making your vacation dreams a reality, and in turn, you are supporting a small business and keeping your money in your community.
