Letter to the editor: Swamp creatures must be ousted
Any country seeking rioters adept at arson, looting and statue demolition should send recruiters to U.S. Democrat-run cities, especially New York City (see street painter and part-time Mayor Bill de Blasio).
There has also been rioting in Washington, D.C., home of the proverbial “swamp.” This political and bureaucratic entity is described in David Horowitz’s book “Blitz,” which includes a series of descriptive quotes attributed to President Trump’s senior policy adviser Stephen Miller, from his interview for “Breitbart News Sunday.”
Miller described the political sentiment that prevailed at the time of the 2016 presidential election and continues today, explaining why many in politics are working to undermine Trump: “Because this president dared to disrupt two-party betrayal of the American people over many decades; betrayal on trade, betrayal on foreign policy, betrayal on our Southern border, betrayal on our economy, decade after decade, year after year, administration after administration. This president dared to stand up to defy that betrayal — was elected to end that betrayal — but the people who profited like parasites off of that betrayal are now the ones trying to prevent him from executing the agenda that the American people installed him to execute.” A classic example is the “Russia collusion delusion.”
These swamp creatures need to be ousted. President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden failed to acknowledge their existence. They, their associates and family members are probably new denizens.
We need to reelect Trump and legislators who support his agenda. He should be reelected based on his accomplishments and his agenda for the future. Drain the swamp.
