Letter to the editor: Term limits the old-fashioned way

Tribune-Review

It’s pretty clear by now that the group of folks in office in Harrisburg and Washington, D.C., have no intention of ever doing what they were sent there to do: To represent their district/state, keep the government open and properly administered. Instead they blindly follow the dictates of their party, not what’s best for America.

Never thought I would be a John Fetterman supporter, but he is actually trying to do what’s best for the country. Extremely rare (extinct?) nowadays in D.C. or Harrisburg.

Likewise, they will never enact laws to limit the number of terms/years they are able to stay in office to accumulate wealth and power.

I suggest doing what I have done for years; vote them all out! Never vote for an incumbent. Term limits the old-fashioned way. Let’s get some people in office who deserve to be there.

That goes for the Supreme Court judges as well. Judges should never have party affiliation, only an ability to justly make decisions about laws, without any political involvement. Judges should have term and age limits as well.

Something smells pretty fishy to me to see all these dollars being spent on keeping or dumping judges.
