Letter to the editor: Thankful for Biden's accomplishments

Tribune-Review

Throughout this Christmas season, when you attend church, be sure to say a special prayer for all the wonderful things that the great President Joe Biden has done for the American people. His humanitarian legacy will live forever in history. In my lifetime, only the legendary Franklin Delano Roosevelt and the patriotic Jimmy Carter can compare to Biden.

The American Rescue Plan, the Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure Law are some of the fabulous programs he delivered to help all Americans.

He strengthened the Affordable Care Act, had a massive growth in employment and worked to bring down inflation caused by the President Trump-fueled pandemic.

Biden provided better health care for veterans, increased the net worth of many families (check your IRA), reduced the sinful earning inequality of the U.S. and provided gun violence legislation (guns have torn this country apart).

He returned the U.S. to lead on the Republican- led climate crisis, provided new electronic-chip manufacturing sites and restored the U.S. to its role in global leadership, including NATO and Ukraine (where we had been the laughingstock under Trump).

I applaud Joe Biden for pardoning his son for the petty things he was charged with. Compare that to pardoning Charles Kushner, a convicted felon, and naming him a U.S. ambassador.

In my opinion, we have a piece of garbage in charge for the next four years, along with self-serving Republicans who I don’t believe have ever passed one bit of legislation to help the average American and are greedy.
