During Josef Stalin’s purges of anyone he considered a threat, the ruthless chief of the Soviet secret police, Lavrentiy Beria, stated, “Show me the man, and I’ll show you the crime.” The Democratic Party has been employing this strategy against Donald Trump for over six years.

The indictment of Trump by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has been unsealed. During his campaign for DA, Bragg stated that one of his top priorities was to get Trump, not reduce crime or protect New Yorkers.

Bragg’s attempt to “bootstrap” a misdemeanor (at best) into 34 felony charges is idiocy.

In 2022, Bragg reduced over half of the felony charges brought to his office to misdemeanors, even for violent offenses.

This sham indictment will only enrich the bloodlust of deranged Trump haters.

Bragg’s obsession with Trump reminds me of early 2020, when congressional Democrats were so focused on impeaching Trump that some skipped briefings on a mysterious virus that originated in China. How did that turn out?

People have every right to despise Trump or even rejoice over this miscarriage of justice. But anyone who won’t admit that the charges being levied are politically motivated because Trump is running for president again are blatant liars.
