Letter to the editor: The truth about guns, safety

Many people feel it is just stupid people who carry guns into airports. The truth is, scared people carry guns everywhere, from church to airports. We now have a record number of honest people who have pistol permits. Why?

Our country has turned from a safe country into a country controlled by criminals with the help of populist and socialist politicians. What country in the world has sanctuary cities where criminals can live without the threat of being arrested or deported? What country has unsecured borders where not only good people, but bad people, can practically come in freely?

The mayor of Pittsburgh, which is a sanctuary city, does not allow the police to do their job. No longer are officers allowed to stop cars for minor violations like a headlight being out because he says it targets minorities more than whites. Is this not a safety issue?
