What is going on in Murrysville? The chief administrator, Mchael Nestico, just offered an ordinance proposal to create a “registry for vacant property.” What? He wants to “track” people’s private properties? He states that if a property owner lives more than 25 miles away, they must hire a property manager. What?
There already are ways to address properties that need condemned, and a sheriff’s sale would take care of any delinquent tax issues. Lots of people have long-term investments in vacant property. Why is this your business? Do not propose a fix to a problem that does not exist.
This idea is right out of the Marxist handbook and is aligned with groups like the Center for Community Progress, which is aligned with Alan Mallach. Mallach’s goal has always been “land reformation” just like Mao, Lenin, Stalin and Castro. This idea can only lead to confiscation of private property, i.e., communism.
With all due respect, why is he proposing anything? Isn’t his job to administrate the orders given by elected officials? I do not recall his name on any ballot. And he thinks we should follow the likes of Jeannette or Monroeville. Huh? Who would want Murrysville to be anything like those places?
If Nestico feels those are ideal municipalities, why doesn’t he go live and work there? And if he wants to track something, why not track illegal immigrants and their employers working and living here? And if I want my property on some registry so some brown shirts can track it/me, I will move to New York City.
