Some letters have appeared in this paper regarding Westmoreland County’s budget and tax increase. Some residents have come to commissioner meetings to voice their concern or called our offices. After reading and hearing these concerns, I think voters are due transparency.

Every month in 2024, I will attempt to host one town hall to discuss various aspects of the county’s budget. After my first budget town hall, one viewer emailed me the next day: “Thank you for a most informative town hall meeting on Tuesday evening. I joined the meeting ‘breathing fire’ and walked away with a better understanding of the budget/revenue process in Westmoreland County.”

Please consider joining me for future budget town halls. To see future topics and register for town halls, visit votechew4you.com/town-halls.
