Letter to the editor: Trump brings order to our lives
The Trib’s letters to the editor continue to demean our president. To me, their merit lacks evidence.
The writer of “Lessons for America as we approach 250 years” (July 28, TribLive) insinuates that President Trump brings disorder to our universe. Conversely, she uplifts a closed society — the People’s Republic of China — where people’s rights are severely limited, a country governed by communist principles.
I disagree. It is order of the highest scope to protect our borders; return illegal invaders to their home countries; make laws favoring every American; extend the 2017 tax cuts, adding $6,000 to the standard deduction of every senior; eliminate servers’ taxes on tips; stand up for Title 9 to keep biological men out of women’s sports; protect our Jewish population; use America’s unique military power to diminish Iran’s nuclear capabilities; remove spending that goes against American ideals; and promote fair trade for America.
The writer of the letter “Divine intervention on Trump assassination attempt?” (July 30, TribLive) questioned House Speaker Mike Johnson’s statement that divine intervention saved the president. Johnson, a strong believer in Jesus Christ, believes God protected Trump that day. I have faith Trump believes that as well. Remember how Franklin Graham, a strong man of God, stood with Trump following those days? The assassin was close, had time and still missed his target. Only our Lord knows when he will choose to intervene in the affairs of men. He doesn’t have to make sense to a human being.
