Letter to the editor: Trump doesn't stand a chance in DC

Tribune-Review

Aug. 1 was just another normal day in the District of Corruption. Special Prosecutor Jack Smith alleges Donald Trump tried to subvert the 2020 election. This is no surprise for a Democrat whose wife donated $2,000 to the Biden campaign and was a producer on a documentary about Michelle Obama. Trump has a snowball’s chance in hell of being found innocent in D.C. Asking for a change of venue will go nowhere with an Obama-appointed judge overseeing the case. This judge, Tanya Chutkan, represented the fraudulent blood-testing company Theranos while working at a law firm associated with Hunter Biden. Do you see the connections?

I believe this trial is a sham, nothing more than payback for the House going after the Biden family and Joe Biden himself being complicit in profiting from his political position to enrich his family and in effect himself.

These trumped-up charges that took 2½ years to be brought will do nothing more than ruin the America as we once knew it. Not since habeas corpus was suspended in 1862 has the federal government flexed so much power to favor a political party.

When Benjamin Franklin responded to a question, “A Republic if we can keep it,” he understood there would come a day when this would occur. It had happened before in Greece and Rome, where unscrupulous actors would cause a Republic to fall.

Wake up America, before it’s too late.
