Here it is just a few weeks into the school year and already another tragic school shooting by a young white male who was “picked on” and had access to an AR-15. Isn’t it ironic that half the country worships at the feet of the biggest bully there is who promised the NRA that if elected he would repeal all gun restrictions enacted during the Biden administration?
On another subject, I’d like to thank the Trib for running the article “Inflation explained: It seems everything is more expensive than 5 years ago. Here’s why.” (Sept. 1, TribLive). The Biden/Harris administration did not cause inflation. There are many causes, including the pandemic and the war in Ukraine. Gas prices go up and down based on supply and demand and at the whim of OPEC. Car and home insurance costs have increased, in part due to the unprecedented increase in claims from all the natural disasters caused by climate change. Grocery and other prices have increased much more than actual costs; a major egg producer increased prices by 70% and their profit by 718%. Greedflation!
The Biden/Harris administration has been working with major corporations to reduce prices and has been showing some success. The USA came through the pandemic in better shape than any other major country and currently has the best economy of any country.
Now if we could just get all those voters who do not like Trump but will vote for him because of the economy to understand the economics of inflation.
