Regarding Timothy L. O’Brien’s screed “Of course Trump couldn’t resist Bob Woodward” (Sept. 10, TribLIVE): I suppose President Trump was “a con man and carny act” when he recognized and honored Americans killed by illegals, spoke to their families and welcomed them to the White House. These were people who seem to have been ignored by President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton, who with Democratic governors and mayors enabled the illegals and in the view of many Americans are complicit in the murders they committed.

I suppose Trump was a “juvenile delinquent” when he crushed ISIS in 16 months after Obama’s idiotic futzing around with the “JV team” allowed it to seize an area the size of Texas as it slaughtered more than 30,000 people. Further, Obama’s outrageous rules of engagement resulted in greater American loss of life than otherwise would have occurred.

And I suppose Trump is a “chimera” when he condemns the crazed leftist mobs while Biden and Kamala Harris tell them to “keep up the protests” as other Democrats applaud.

Trump is flawed and has made mistakes, but he’s done a lot of good for the country. More than journalists like O’Brien and the Democrats ever will.
