Letter to the editor: Trump has kept his promises

Tribune-Review

I detest and certainly distrust most politicians. I strongly believe that any politician who has been in office for more than two terms is corrupt and will not change.

With that said, I must admit that I have in the past voted for some of these lowlifes. I am ashamed to admit that in the first election I was eligible to vote, I voted for Jimmy Carter. I never voted Democrat again.

Several years ago, I voted for Mitt Romney. I’m glad he did not get elected. I know very little about his Mormon faith, but I consider him a man of very low morals and without a doubt a person never to be trusted. As a career politician, he just reinforces my belief in two terms and gone.

Why do we Americans put up with these types of people? They lie, cheat and steal. We know they are untrustworthy and yet they keep getting reelected.

Opinions on President Trump certainly differ, but the man has done what he said he would do. That’s something so unique when it comes to politicians that the world doesn’t know how to handle it. With the odds so stacked against him, he just moves on to complete his promises.

You as an individual may not like him, but in my opinion, America needs him. Don’t waste your vote on a career politician who will continue to do nothing for you. Remember this commercial? “A mind is a terrible thing to waste.”
