Letter to the editor: Trump hate stems from promise to drain swamp
MSNBC pundit Joe Scarborough and many Democratic politicians call Pesident Donald Trump an “existential threat to democracy” and cite the importance of keeping Trump out of the White House as their overriding concern, despite the prospect of an 81-year-old man with obviously declining cognitive abilities in the White House and in charge of the nuclear button.
I believe this unrelenting and all- encompassing hate of Trump evolved from Trump’s promise in 2016 to drain the Washington swamp of the overpaid lifetime bureaucrats, politicians and lobbyists, and their mainstream media cohorts, who have tried everything, legal and not, including weaponizing our Department of Justice, to destroy Trump, and drive him from office.
CNN and other mainstream media follow Trump’s speeches with their fact-checking with the same bias they spew in their opinions and news by stating that Trump is an outright liar. In fact, they created the phrase “the Big Lie,” referring to Trump’s claim of excessive fraud in the 2020 election. We all need to fact-check their fact-checking to decide who’s really being more truthful.
While Trump does use colorful hyperbole in making his points, his points of view cannot be branded lies just because they disagree with CNN’s far-left socialistic views. Remember, statistics can be arranged to prove whatever one desires.
If you’d like to learn what’s really going on in today’s Democratic Party from a mostly moral point of view, nothing makes it clearer than 20-year Democrat Tulsi Gabbard’s book “For Love Of Country: Leave The Democrat Party Behind,” and her YouTube interviews.
