Letter to the editor: Trump & hatred

I am compelled to respond to A. Atkinson’s letter “Democrats’ hate” (Jan. 11, TribLIVE), which said I am full of hate. That’s the furthest thing from the truth, and anyone who knows me knows that.

However, President Trump made me hate him, and at least I admit it. Trump is full of hate, and it is Trump who started this hatred long before he was elected. Trump spews hate, and hates those who voted against him, or oppose him. His hatred has divided this country.

I voted for Bill Clinton, I voted for Barack Obama, and yes, I voted for Hillary Clinton, too. I’d vote for anyone over Trump. And, once again, I state that I wouldn’t have voted for Trump if he were a Democrat. I’m proud to say I’m a “never Trumper.”

There’s not much else I hate, except the fact that you can’t reason with the majority of Trump supporters.

I am through with this back-and-forth war of words; Trump and the fascist Republican Party leave enough to write about. May peace be with all of us.
