The breakup was announced on the news. Splitsville for two fine men who took their walk on the wild side and are now sunsetting their moon-age daydream. President Trump and stardust oligarch Elon Musk were a hot item, more so than other freak-offs lately in the news. What was DOGE but a freakoff by another name? I’m happy as a clam at high tide to have seen two men do their thing together, but where does it all leave us, Americans?

Alone in Pittsburgh boondocks, for 40 days and 40 nights, dreamland has been mercurial. Never mind the ripsnorting quick-change act Trump is doing. And that weird kinship that accrued between Trump and Musk. Americans are left with the cascading, threatening results of the love affair.

Two mad men are cantering away on the horses they rode in on. Pittsburgh Democrats appear to be at a loss for a method with which to go forward. It remains my opinion that the DNC is a miserable failure. Blame Trump all you want. The Dems failed to produce winning candidates, and “this stuff” is happening. For a really ripsnorting keen representative democracy, please demand the DNC produce viable candidates for U.S. president.
