Letter to the editor: Trump sign thieves need help

Tribune-Review

To the person or persons who removed my Trump signs recently: While I was away caring for an ailing relative, two Trump signs and (sadly) a “We Support our Police” sign were removed from the front of my property. Have you by your actions illustrated the difference between Trump supporters and you?

As a strong Trump supporter, I would not dream of removing someone’s Biden or other signs from their private property. To my point, the ailing relative I was assisting is a lifelong Democrat and Joe Biden supporter. If he wanted to display a Biden sign in his yard, I would help him install it. He is elderly; I may wind up having to take him to the polls to vote, thus nullifying my vote. That is how normal people behave in a civilized society.

I am sorry that the mere sight of a Trump sign drives you to commit acts of civil disobedience. There is a name for that, “Trump derangement syndrome.” You should seek professional help.

And by the way, I purchased those signs. They were my property, taken from my private property. And for the record, I purchased them from the Trump campaign. I paid way more than they cost to produce, so the campaign made a tidy profit on them. I will replace them, again purchasing them from the Trump campaign.

So, on behalf of Donald Trump, I want to thank you for helping fund his bid for reelection.
