Letter to the editor: Trump, 'strong men' and bloodbaths
In the AP article “Trump ramps up dark rhetoric in Ohio stump speech for Senate candidate Bernie Moreno” (March 17, TribLive), Donald Trump is seen to be speaking randomly and with confusion about how tough he is. His supporters apparently want a “strong man” to lead them. Apparently, these supporters feel too weak to choose leaders who will work for all of us in the USA. I like to think that there are still traditional Republicans who find this talk of “strong men” and “bloodbaths” offensive and destructive to the rule of law.
It has also become clear to me from Trump’s many misstatements and confused statements and mumbling in speeches that he is mentally declining. This is the opposite of what we saw in President Biden’s recent State of the Union address. Biden has and will continue to work for all of us. In my opinion, Trump only cares for himself.
