As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, we remember the brave pilgrims who came to New England in 1620. While on the ship, they wrote the Mayflower Compact to provide a governing framework for their colony. Over 100 years later, the United States Constitution was written, and it has served as our framework for government for over 250 years.

Unfortunately, our lame-duck president continues to trash the Constitution by insisting that he won the election, while Joe Biden is the clear winner in the Electoral College, and ahead 6 million in the popular vote. Up until Tuesday, Trump refused to initiate a transition to the Biden administration, although transition was provided for him a few days after the 2016 election.

Congress should immediately force the president to concede the election. We must return this pseudo-dictator to the dustbin of history.
