Letter to the editor: Trump 'voters' remorse' coming

Tribune-Review

The author of the letter “McDaniel ouster reminiscent of blacklisting” (April 1, TribLive) feels that Ronna McDaniel should have been allowed to express her views on MSNBC. Anyone who is paying attention to fact-based news (including MSNBC) knows that Trump’s “Republican” party is an existential threat to our democracy. They have seen video clips of Trump admiring dictators, and even claiming he would be a dictator. That should be a scary thought to anyone, even Trumpsters.

He says news outlets should be unbiased. I agree. Fox was recently fined $787 million for deliberate lies. Their mission is to get Republicans elected. Fox is owned by Rupert Murdoch, who is very rich and wants to get richer, and for that he needs to get Republicans elected who will lower taxes on the rich and “reform” (eliminate) programs like welfare, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. That is very biased.

MSNBC is aware of the threat Trump poses, and they are doing their best to spread the word to save our traditional form of government. It is fact, again, as evinced by Trump’s own recorded comments. MSNBC has every right and responsibility to keep people like McDaniel off their network in the interest of their own integrity as promulgators of truth.

Just recently, Mark Esper added his name to the growing list of Republicans who worked under Trump and have said “no way” they would vote for him. I believe that if Trump wins there will be a huge case of voters’ remorse, except among the very rich or very stupid.
