Letter to the editor: Trump's 'accomplishments'

Tribune-Review

The letter “Instead of right and left, let’s look at what Trump has accomplished” (July 25, TribLive) didn’t mention any accomplishments. It seems that if you don’t go along with President Trump’s every whim, you have Trump derangement syndrome.

Let’s go over Trump’s accomplishments. War in Ukraine is still raging. Food prices have increased. Gas is not $1.99 a gallon. He plans to take a trillion dollars away from Medicaid and Affordable Care Act programs and stop SNAP benefits for many. He gutted the Department of Education.

He wants to do away with FEMA but yet is building a gaudy $200 million ballroom at the White House. He wants to take over Greenland, and didn’t rule out using force. He wants to make Canada the 51st state. He put registered sex offender Lawrence Taylor on his President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition. He put the most incompetent people in his cabinet.

He is spending millions on what are basically concentration camps for immigrants who have committed no crimes. His cuts to Veterans Affairs could result in veterans losing benefits. He has tariffed what seems like every country in the world and said consumers would not see price hikes. Have you bought coffee lately?

Trump has said he is a stable genius. Here is an example of that. In the Oval Office, he told a reporter that if it wasn’t for the Civil War, there would have been no need for the Declaration of Independence. That is the stable genius running our country. Lord have mercy.
