“Yeah, there is one thing. My own morality. My own mind. It’s the only thing that can stop me,” President Trump told the The New York Times when asked if there were any limits on his international power.
I challenge any Trump voter to say that he has morals, other than low ones. He has hundreds of documented and provable lies, has cheated on his taxes and on multiple wives, including with a porn star while his wife was pregnant. He has stolen classified files, stolen from students of Trump University and stolen from contractors by filing bankruptcy six times. He has pardoned criminals and insurrectionists and is himself a convicted felon. He is possibly a pedophile protector.
He has denigrated veterans (after evading the draft) and insulted the disabled, and insults and attacks anyone who disagrees with him. He says he’s a Christian while it is clearly obvious by his worship of material things that he is not. And he has defended the likes of Putin, Kim and MBS. He has lied, cheated and stolen, and it matters not to 50% of the voters; a sad commentary on our country. Are these the morals we teach our children? Are any of these facts incorrect?
So much for our system of checks and balances to control him. It is ironic that on our Republic’s 250th anniversary, we have a president acting like an authoritarian because the GOP Congress has abdicated its responsibility to control his actions.
