Regarding the letter “What church would venerate Trump?” (Oct. 17, TribLIVE): I don’t consider President Trump as Jesus or my messiah. He is, though, president of the United States.

In the Bible, David was an adulterer and murderer, but God forgave him and made him King of Israel. Moses was a murderer, and God forgave him also, and he led God’s people out of Egypt.

God uses men and women every day to accomplish his will. You and I aren’t perfect; no one is, only Jesus Christ. How many of the Ten Commandments have you broken?

Do you know why there is so much chaos in the world? Because there is no fear of God. There are consequences to sin, but also forgiveness in Jesus Christ.
