Letter to the editor: Trump's words vs. his actions

Tribune-Review

Rudy Gagliardi’s “Trump will get my vote” (Aug. 15, TribLIVE) was the most delusional, untrue letter I’ve read. Don’t insult us by calling yourself a Democrat.

President Trump has not done what he promised, like fixing health care and infrastructure, ending wasteful wars, building a wall that Mexico will pay for and so on.

What he’s done is pass an unpopular tax cut that helps the top 1% and corporations; hurt us and the world economy with tariffs; and put our national security at risk by breaking down our intelligence community and embracing Vladimir Putin. I believe he’s hiding something very serious by not releasing his taxes. Is he compromised by a foreign adversary?

This man thinks he knows more than career intelligence officers, scientists and generals. Scientists and farmers all over the world see the effects of global warming.

Robert Mueller’s report shows 10 instances of obstruction of justice — undeniable truth backed by facts of voter manipulation and tampering by Russia. No witch hunt.

This child-man, who can’t win by facts, resorts to childish name-calling. His rallies are fueled by hate with threatening chants. Isn’t that a mob?

So what has he done for you? Are you a blind follower of a liar and wannabe dictator with no respect for or understanding of our Constitution and democratic institutions?

Quit listening to what Trump says and pay attention to what he does.
