Letter to the editor: Trump's your guy

Say you could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and get away with it. Grab women by the private parts. Have more than 22,000 confirmed lies. Make fun of handicapped people. Say fallen soldiers are “suckers and losers.” Say the election is rigged ahead of time, in case you lose. Never commit to a peaceful transfer of power. Cheat on your taxes. Attack anyone who disagrees with you. Ruin poll workers’ lives with lies. Condone having your vice president hanged. Take top-secret documents to your homes and say they’re yours.

Be found liable for sexual abuse. Say immigrants poison the blood of our country, even though your wife is an immigrant. Say your top general should be executed. Be found liable for fraud. Pay hush money to a porn star. Try to repeal Obamacare, which would leave millions of people without health care. Have four indictments and 91 felony counts against you.

Stand by while the Capitol is attacked. Say the election was stolen, even though you never found any such proof. Praise dictators. Say you will be a dictator. Build a wall Mexico never paid for. Say you will ban Muslims from the United States. Take young children from their parents at the border and put them in cages. Say covid won’t last long. Mock face masks. Tell everyone you’re perfect and never did anything wrong.

If this is what you’re looking for in a president, Donald Trump is your guy.
