In her column “Voting for a woman president” (March 5, TribLIVE) Lori Falce writes: “Sen. Elizabeth Warren was the most recent candidate to pull out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. She was the last serious female contender.”

Really? I take Tulsi Gabbard’s credentials and candidacy very seriously. Et tu, Brute? You, like just about all of the mainstream media, are ignoring this woman’s run for president despite her qualifications, intelligence and willingness to work with “both sides of the aisle” on issues.

She has been a U.S. representative for eight years and is a female combat veteran who has been deployed to the Middle East twice. When she resigned as vice chair of the Democratic National Committee, she must have really alienated the party “elite” who now act like she is a non-candidate.

She is still in the race, and deserves to have her voice heard and name mentioned in media, including this newspaper.
