During this challenging time, it’s important for all those living with lung disease, including covid-19 and lung cancer, to feel hope, optimism and support amid the pandemic. About every five minutes in the U.S., a woman is diagnosed with lung cancer, and the disease represents more than one in five female cancer deaths.
June 14-20 is Turquoise Takeover, and I’ll be wearing turquoise — the signature color of the American Lung Association’s LUNG FORCE initiative — to raise awareness about lung cancer and support everyone impacted by the disease.
